Proposal!!!

Yes, the time has come!

I had a message on my work voice mail last Tuesday, after lunch.  Problem: Scott was in Vancouver for the night and day on Wednesday.   Our proposal was at my fingertips...but we had made a pact that we would only open it up together. AHK.

So I raced home after school, Scott's parents picked me up, and off I went to Harbour Air.  Arriving in downtown Vancouver by 5:30, I was thinking we would be ready to crack that email open.  And then Scott told me his next hotel was in Delta!  Dark and pouring rain, hungry and tired, we drove to Delta, missed our exit due to mass construction, rush hour, darkness, monsoons etc. but finally made it to our hotel by 7:30 or so. We ordered a couple room service burgers and we were finally able to open up the email we had waited for for the past 4.5 years.

And we saw their adorable little innocent faces for the first time.

Phew.

Phew.

It has been one week today.  A full week of processing and compiling...painting and printing...and each day we are one step closer.  The formal proposal acceptance letters are signed and submitted.  I will pick up updated criminal records checks today, scan and send those...and our paper part is once again complete.

It looks like we will travel by the end of June, or so.  Our fingers are crossed and there is always hope that our travel date will be closer.
 
Even though we only have 4 photos total, they are each a treasure!  Our boys are 8 and 4.
